DO I HAVE TO BE A RUNNER?

No matter your skill level, this race is great for you! The course is very friendly for runners or walkers.

WHY SHOULD I FUNDRAISE?

A misnomer about 5k's is that the overhead is low and they make a lot of money. That's not necessarily always the case. By committing to help us fundraise, we can reach our goal and BFR can continue to offer life-affirming services to our community. 

WILL THE COURSE BE LIT?

We do our best to have lighting on as much of the course as we can. We highly recommend you wear a head lamp and come decked out in glowy stuff. 

IS THE RACE TIMED?

Yes! W2W running company provides our timing. Your BIB # is equipped with a chip that starts your time and ends your time when you cross over the Start/Finish line. 

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RACE SHIRT AND BAG?

Race bag pick up is Friday March 27th, 4pm-8pm. You'll receive a bag with goodies, your race shirt, and BIB # so you can arrive race day already checked-in and prepared.

WHAT DO I DO IF I RECEIVE CHECK OR CASH DONATIONS?

Record it on your fundraising page then you can bring it by our office or bring it to race bag pick-up. You can also bring it race day to the check-in booth. 

are strollers allowed?

Yes! We only ask that people with strollers go to the back of the start line to prevent any accidents. 

are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed. We love dogs but with the amount of people that attend and because the event is at night, we have to think about everyones safety as leashes can be a hazard.
